(AP) — The Buffalo Bills have promoted Chad Hall to wide receivers coach and hired Ken Dorsey as quarterbacks coach.Hall is a former NFL receiver who spent the past two seasons as an offensive assistant on Bills coach Sean McDermott's staff. He replaces Terry Robiskie, who was fired last month after one season in Buffalo.Dorsey spent last year as an assistant athletic director at Florida International. He spent the previous seven seasons with the Panthers, including five as Carolina's quarterbacks coach. It was in Carolina where Dorsey worked on the same staff as McDermott, who was the Panthers' defensive coordinator.Dorsey is a former NFL quarterback and played a role in grooming Cam Newton in Carolina. (AP)Bills coach Sean McDermott still isn’t ready to name his starter against Indianapolis this weekend after quarterback Tyrod Taylor had limited mobility in his bruised left knee upon returning to practice Thursday. ”We’re still taking it day by day,” McDermott said. McDermott said Taylor was limited to taking part in individual drills in his first practice since being hurt in a 23-3 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday. At one point, he was unable to lift his leg high enough to slip back on his left cleat. He took the first snaps in handoff and passing drills. Taylor bruised his tendon while being sacked on the first play of scrimmage. He played through the opening minute of the fourth quarter before being carted off the sideline. After sidestepping the question on Wednesday, McDermott revealed that rookie Nathan Peterman would start against the Colts if Taylor can’t play.
