Some recent games are still better on consoles at 30fps due to terrible optimization and inexperience of developers. Arkham Knight comes to mind. Even on high-end hardware the frame rate is all over the place. It's best to just play the game on a console, or lock the frame rate to 30fps. Video driver issues requiring me to have to constantly having to update drivers, edit config files, or use other hacks is a complete PITA. If my desktop is 768p, but I want to play Fallout 4 at 1080p, it just won't work. I get a blank screen, have to close the game, set me desktop to 1080p, then launch again.
